Meet Miss Emily — tiny in stature, big in heart, Santa-loving, pink-adoring, and full of determination. At 24 years old, Emily has a simple but powerful dream: to bring joy, connection, and a sense of belonging to her community through her very own Sweet Freeze novelty ice cream business.
This summer, Emily hopes to take Sweet Freeze on the road across Stony Plain, Spruce Grove, and the Tri-Municipal Region with a specialized ice cream and popsicle trike. Her vision includes an adapted, electric two-person bike and cart — thoughtfully retrofitted to allow Emily and her support team to travel safely while sharing affordable frozen treats, smiles, and meaningful moments wherever they go.
For Emily, Sweet Freeze is about more than treats — for people and their pups. Living with complex medical and developmental challenges has shaped her understanding of isolation and deepened her belief in the power of connection. Sweet Freeze is her way of creating welcoming moments where everyone feels seen, valued, and included. She will offer free options as well, so no one is ever left out of the fun.
At heart, Emily wants to make a difference — and for those who know her, she already is the difference, especially at a time when our community needs her most. To make this dream possible, Emily needs your support.
What’s Needed
The total cost of the adapted bike and retrofit is $9,500. Reaching this goal will allow Sweet Freeze to hit the streets in time for summer.
